When it comes to the Murrell (s) the first thing I like to do is mention Donovan John Murrells who I think a lot of you have heard of he have helped a lot of us so I like to thank him from all of us for his hard work and dedication
Our Murrell(s) originate from Earls Colne,Essex,England but the root started in the Suffolk town of Sudbury with the marriage of Osea Murrells and Elizabeth Brown in 1623.Could his parents be Thomas Murrell b c 1570 and Agnes Witten b c 1572 married c 1590
And there is a William Murrell was born Abt. 1613 in Oakley, Suffolk, England, and died Abt. 1653 in Surrry Co, Virginia (could he be a brother) This William later moved to Isle of Wight ,Virginia America
Or could he be the son of Richard Murrell b Jan 1566/7 in Oakley,Suffolk and Sarah Pierce they married c 1600/1

Richard Murrell b Jan 1566/7 was the son of Jeffrey Murrell b c 1540 in Suffolk and Joan Taylor b ??

Many family's with the Sudbury (s) lost this suffix over the years to record all form of spelling Murrills,Merrills,Murrell etc.
Many years ago it became clear that the places of Murrell(s) origin stretched from Norfolk trough Suffolk, Essex and in to Kent and Sussex.
The earliest recorded spelling was of Ougrim Miriel in 1188 from Donovan Murrells name study
Many Murrells was transported or emigrated to NSW Australia
One was Daniel Murrell c 1808 he was transported to NSW in 1828
Early immigration records have shown some of the first Murrells to arrive on North American shores: David Morrell settled in Virginia in 1656; Nicholas Morrel settled in Barbados with his wife, son in 1679; he later moved to Boston; Mary Morrell and her husband settled in Barbados in 1694.
